Our Future -
Social & Fundraising + Projects
A key focus of any P&C is raising funds to support the school in areas that are not funded by the Department of Education or other Government bodies. Schools are not able to fundraise on their own behalf which is why the GPS P&C is crucial to provide additional facilities, equipment and teacher resources.
Through the generousity of our parents and school community, GPS P&C have raised significant funds in support of Greenwich Public School to provide the following:
-
Literacy Support & Teacher’s Aides - Funding the hire of qualified STLA teachers and classroom aides who provide individual/small group support to those in need which directly lowers student to teacher ratios
-
Classroom Materials - Providing current, relevant and engaging materials for all students
-
Technology - Equipping classrooms with modern technology so students are exposed to and learning in a progressive environment
-
Grounds support - Contributing to the wages of the school’s horticulturalist to ensure the school’s grounds are preserved
-
Facilities upgrades - Providing upgrades and additional requirements to buildings and play spaces
We are very grateful to everyone who has kindly supported our fundraising efforts and we look forward to continuing our support of Greenwich Public School.
If you would like to donate or sponsor an event please contact the Social and Fundraising Co-ordinator via email.

There are lucky door prizes, best dressed / costume competitions, raffles, silent auctions, plus a lot of socialising.
It is the highlight of the school event calendar.

TERM 2
DRESS UP
Our annual School Disco allows the children to get dolled up in their costumes and put their dancing shoes on to enjoy a night of loud music, the latest dance moves, and fun had by all!
The cost of the ticket covers Bop Till You Drop DJ's, snacks, drinks and a surprise for each child not to mention supporting the school.
There are two sessions on the night to cater for years K-2 and 3-6.
If you would like to be part of the organising committee, please email for more details.
This year the P&C will be getting behind our local annual community event by supporting the Greenwich Village Arts Trail. Held on the first weekend in November, this event attracts visitors from all over Sydney.
While we are still finalising the details on our involvement, we do know that activities will be happening at both campuses and we would appreciate assistance in the lead up to the event and also on the weekend – parents, grandparents and carers are welcome.
Please mark the date in your calendar and if you would like to put your hand up to help, either before or during the event, please email Social & Fundraising Co-ordinator for more details.
